INSURANCE POLICY – YOUR SAFETY, YOUR CHOICE
TERMS & CONDITIONS OF THE RENTAL AGREEMENT
OBLIGATIONS OF THE RENTER
- Agreement
Acceptance
- The renter agrees to all
terms of this Rental Agreement and receives a copy of it.
- The renter acknowledges
receiving the vehicle and its accessories in good and safe condition.
- Driver
Requirements
- Minimum age for Jordanian
citizens: 24 years with a valid driver’s license held for at least
1 year.
- Minimum age for
non-Jordanian renters: 21 years with a valid driver’s license held
for at least 1 year.
- Drivers under 24 years of
age are subject to an additional surcharge of $7 (5 JOD) per rental
day.
- The driver must comply
with all Jordanian traffic laws and regulations.
- Vehicle
Responsibility
- The renter is responsible
for the vehicle from the time it leaves Trivo’s premises until it is
returned and signed in by an authorized Trivo representative.
- Vehicle
Return
- With all accessories
(tires, tools, documents, etc.) in the same condition as received, except
for normal wear and tear.
- On the agreed date and
time, or earlier if requested by the company.
- To the agreed location,
unless otherwise approved in writing; otherwise, a drop-off fee will
apply.
- With the same fuel
level as received, unless the prepaid fuel option was purchased.
- Clean inside and outside;
excessive dirt will result in a cleaning fee.
- Smoking is strictly
prohibited; evidence of smoking will incur a $40 (30 JOD) cleaning
fee.
- Permitted
Use
- Driving in prohibited or
restricted areas (off-road, desert, beaches, or roads closed by the
Jordanian Road Administration) is not allowed.
- Driving outside Jordan
without prior written approval is prohibited.
- Operating the vehicle
under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or other intoxicants is
prohibited.
- Allowing an unregistered
driver to operate the vehicle will void insurance coverage.
- The vehicle may not be
used for paid passenger transport, towing, racing, or illegal activities.
- Liability
for Damages
The renter is fully liable for damages not covered by insurance, including but not limited to:
- Off-road or water-related
damage.
- Gross negligence or
intentional acts.
- Using the wrong fuel
type.
- Damage to tires, wheels,
suspension, glass, or undercarriage (unless optional coverage is
purchased).
- Fines
and Violations
- The renter is
responsible for all traffic fines and parking tickets incurred during the
rental period.
- There are no road
tolls or rental-related taxes in Jordan.
- An administrative fee
may be charged for processing such fines.
- Delays
or Cancellations
- A delay of more than 1
hour after the agreed return time may result in a full day’s rental
charge plus a $20 (15 JOD) late fee.
- Cancellations within 24
hours of pickup or no-shows will be charged the full rental amount.
- Accidents
and Incidents
- The renter must
immediately notify the police and the company in case of an accident and
obtain a police report.
- No repairs may be made
without the company’s written approval.
- Financial
Authorization
- The
company is authorized to charge the renter’s credit/debit card for any
costs, fines, or damages for up to 15 days after the vehicle is
returned.
OBLIGATIONS OF TRIVO CAR RENTAL
- Vehicle
Condition Guarantee
- The company ensures the
vehicle meets all safety and registration standards.
- The company may
substitute the reserved vehicle with a similar or upgraded model if the reserved
type is unavailable.
- Mechanical
Issues
- If a fault occurs not
caused by the renter, the company will repair the vehicle or provide a
replacement as soon as possible.
- If the breakdown
exceeds 24 hours, one rental day will be refunded.
- If the breakdown is
proven to be caused by driver misuse, the renter will be charged
the full rental days while the vehicle remains in the workshop.
- Information
to Renter
- The company will explain
the rental terms, especially the renter’s obligations.
- For foreign renters, the
company will clarify Jordanian traffic laws and road signs. (Note:
There are no specific restrictions on unpaved road driving under
Jordanian law, but off-road driving remains prohibited under this
agreement).
- Liability
Insurance
- The company maintains
valid liability insurance for all operations.
- Personal
Belongings
- The company is not
responsible for loss or damage to personal items inside or on the
vehicle.

OBLIGATIONS OF THE RENTER

a. If a fault occurs not caused by the renter, the company will repair the vehicle or provide a replacement as soon as possible.

c. If the breakdown is proven to be caused by driver misuse, the renter will be charged the full rental days while the vehicle remains in the workshop.

INSURANCE & COVERAGE
1. Basic Protection
a. Includes third-party liability insurance.
b. Deductible: $700.
c. Included in base rental price.
2. Smart Protection
a. Includes Loss Damage Waiver, Tire & Windshield Protection, and Personal Accident Protection.
b. No deductible.
c. Price: $20 / 15 JOD per day.
3. All Inclusive Protection
a. Includes Loss Damage Waiver, Tire & Windshield Protection, Personal Accident Protection, Roadside Protection, and Interior Protection.
b. No deductible.
c. Price: $30 / 22 JOD per day.
4. Exclusions
Insurance does not cover damages caused by:
a. Driving in prohibited areas.
b. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
c. Driving by an unregistered driver.
d. Gross negligence or misuse.
e. Wrong fuel usage.
f. Damage to the undercarriage, roof, or mechanical components caused by misuse.
GENERAL PROVISIONS
1. Rental Period
a. Minimum chargeable rental period is 48 hours, even if rented for a shorter time.
b. A delay of more than 1 hour after the return time will be counted as a full rental day.
2. Cancellation & Refund
a. Cancellations made 24 hours before pickup: full refund.
b. Cancellations within 24 hours or no-shows: no refund.
c. Early returns do not guarantee a refund.
3. Repossession of Vehicle
a. The company may repossess the vehicle without notice if it is used illegally, abandoned, or in breach of the rental agreement.
4. Additional Charges
a. The company may deduct any charges, fines, or repair costs from the renter's credit/debit card within 14 days of rental return.
5. Governing Law
a. This agreement is governed by the laws of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
